ACR
RECOMMENDATIONS
After
reviewing and discussing the ACR’s technology section, here are the
recommendations that we are suggesting.
The
ACR states in Section B, subsection 9.1
'Makes
appropriate use of education technology (computers, overhead projector, etc.),
learning centers and teaching aids.’
Instead
of this, the ACR can be hone in on specific areas such as:
1. Makes use of any type
of technology during a lesson as a tool of enhancement or assessment.
2. Allows students to
participate in the use of technology during the lesson or as an assignment for
assessment.
3. Makes an effort to use
technology as a communication or record keeping tool.
In
order for teachers to be assessed on their use of technology, the administration
needs to be knowledgeable on the various types of technology and how the wide
array in which they are used. Teacher’s need to provided with opportunity to
expand on the requirement of using technology; therefore, our ministry needs to
find ways to incorporate technology into our curriculum.
